Javier Gir\u00e1ldez D\u00edaz (Montellano, Seville; 1976) holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Seville. He is a teacher of Secondary Education for the Consejer\u00eda de Educaci\u00f3n de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda and currently works in the province of C\u00e1diz. He has been Associate Professor at the University of Huelva (2004\/2005) and has worked at the Historical Memory Commissariat of the Andalusian Regional Government as advisor and coordinator of projects and research (2008-2012). He has also worked in private enterprise as an expert in training and human resources (2012-2015). Between 2015 and 2019 he was &#8220;Director General de Memoria Democr\u00e1tica de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda&#8221;. He is part of several research projects related to the recovery of historical memory and Franco&#8217;s repression in Andalusia. He has been a member of the Sur-Cl\u00edo Research Group at the University of Almer\u00eda and has published numerous articles in books and journals, as well as participating in the publication of several works.
